Om litt over en uke starter det tredje World Innovation Summit for Education (WISE) i Doha, hovedstaden i Qatar. Under årets konferanse skal jeg være moderator for en workshop som har fått tittelen "Reading LIteracy in a Digital World". Workshopen har følgende beskrivelse i programmet:
Reading literacy is a prerequisite for achieving personal goals, acquiring knowledge and participating in society. Today, reading is enabled through printed as well as digital texts. This sessions addresses the current state of reading literacy in a digital world by addressing the following questions:
1) What is the current knowledge base with regard to reading literacy worldwide?
2) How can emerging technologies such as mobile and handheld devices facilitate the development of reading literacy among learners?
3. What are the hallmarks of successful interventions for the advancement of reading literacy among learners with socio-economic disadvantages?
Jeg tar gjerne i mot innspill, kommentarer og spørsmål som jeg kan ta med i workshopen. Dette gjelder både de tre spørsmålene som stilles i utgangspunktet og andre ting dere mener er viktig for temaet.
