Session 1: Education
Analysis of women in STEM is necessary
Education is a key issue for recruiting women to STEM. women in STEM and ICT are resources of development, i.e an economic necessity. Recruiting and retaining
Women is a family and economic issue. New ways in education, with curricula stimulating creativity are needed.
Inclusion of women is more than a gender issue. It can address early childhood stereotypes.
New methods adressing curricular reform are called for, addressing gender issues, creativity, entrepreneurship etc
Teachers are key and must be addressed and involved. Good practices must be disseminated
Session 2: Innovation and Research
- Add gender criterion to final score for all EC funded proposals. Should be taken into account in final assessment.
- Quotas for women researchers in ICT
- KPI in industry for equal salary and equal opportunities
- retrain women in research and innovation to return to work after career interruption
- Establish a European Observatory for best practices
Session 3: Entrepreneurship
We need a change in awareness and perception in female entrepreneuship
Set targets to Member States on female entrepreneurship including executive and advisory boards
Support visibility
Install gender-specific measures for training female entrepreneus
Use of EVWT national and international ecosystem
Support EU wide actions
